GOD IS THE C.E.O. ON THE TOP FLOOR

Sunday Sermon

GOD IS THE C.E.O. ON THE TOP FLOOR

Isaiah 55:8-11

If I went to Ford Motor Company in 1960 and at the door, the superintendent told me, I am the man in charge of production, even though he has a nice suit on, a name tag, and looks important, he is not in charge. Neither are the people working the front desk, managers, or the supervisors, or the workers. Henry Ford is the man in charge, even though I could go there a million times and probably never see him there. God operates a bigger business, the world, and even though he lets me make decisions, chart my course, and have a say in things. He still in charge. He is still in charge. It is a wonderful thing to know, that He is in control, and with Him in our lives, everything is going to work out fine.

In these few verses, God reveals Himself in a very special way, that He operates at such a higher level than we do. There is no comparison between how we think, and how God thinks. Our small plans and ideas are no match for God's plans, and the way God operates in power, Word, and Spirit. Today, I will declare how God is in control, and how His ways are different than ours. He is the C.E.O. on the top floor.

I.

GOD'S GRACE IS FAR

BEYOND MAN'S COMPREHENSION

In vs. 8a, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts.” God does not deal

with us on our terms, but on His. Jesus picked up this same theme in His instruction to His disciples to love their enemies.

God promises mercy and pardon to those who come to repentance.

God’s thoughts are unsearchable.

God’s plans for your life are secure----you are in good hands with the C.E.O. of the world.

II.

GOD DOES THINGS HIS WAY

In vs. 8b “Neither are your ways my ways”. So many times, we try to tell God what is best for us. But God knows better than we do. He does what is best for us, and faith is trusting in the Lord with all our heart.

His ways are higher than our ways----that simply means sometimes we won’t understand what God is doing, but it will all work out for good.

His ways are better than our ways---God plans are better, because He doesn’t wait for the end to see the results, He is the end, and is the results.

His ways are surer than our ways---going through life by our plans is dangerous, there is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end is destruction.

The Bible says, Romans 11:33-34 (NKJV), Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out! For who has known the mind of the Lord?

John Osteen--church was about to purchase a great piece of property for what seemed to be a great price. As they were about to sign the papers, the holy Spirit said, not now to Pastor Osteen. His board and the church were shocked, but believed God had spoken even though it looked like the best deal in town. One week later, the city council of Houston did a major rezoning of the city, and that property was zoned differently. The sellers contacted Pastor Osteen, and they got the property for half the original price.

God is the C.E.O. and He is in charge.

III.

THERE IS NO COMPARISON

Look at vs. 9, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways”.

Here is just a short list of why you need to place your life in the care of the C.E.O. on the top floor.

A. He knows every detail of your life, from start to end. His ways are so much higher, He can go into tomorrows before you arrive, and have a way of escape already charted out for you.

B. He secures victory----He has never lost a battle

C. He has sat down--if you understand the Word of God, Jesus is seated at the right hand of God. When someone is seated, it is finished. Death, hell, sin, Satan, and every other foe in our lives are defeated.

D. The certainty of God’s Word, a Spiritual sowing

In vs. 11, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it”.

God is saying here, that His Word always works, it never fails, it never comes back void.

God’s Word (seed) will not return empty. It will bear fruit, and accomplish God’s purpose.

God never says never---nothing is impossible with God.

Matthew 19:26, “With God all things are possible”.

There is no comparison to God.

Once the C.E.O. on the top floor says it, nothing can change His ways, it will accomplish what it sets out to do. God’s Word in our lives works every time. One of the problems in our lives, is lack of application. If you don’t apply soap when you are bathing, you will smell, if you don’t’ apply God’s Word to your life, you will fail.

There are many people in battles, struggles, and for some, it seems that life is over-whelming. Let me encourage you today to give your life fully to the C.E.O. on the top floor.

The C.E.O. on the top floor extends an invitation to salvation to everyone.

Liars

Alcoholics

Abusers

Drug addicts

Thieves

Bank robbers

Haters

Whoremongers

Adulterers

The C.E.O. of the top floor says:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord”.
